SOME THOUGHTS ON LAUGHTER
Dictionaries define laughter as making sounds
and movements of the face and body, showing amusement, joy, etc. There are quite
a few phrases with this word having various meanings. For example, If you laugh
in somebody’s face , you defy him openly or show contempt for something or idea;
and if you laugh up your sleeve you aim at hidden amusement.
Here are just five quotes on
laughter.
