Two Quotes on The Sun
The first beautiful quote is by Sir David Brewster Scottish Physicist
(1781-1868).
“The glorious
sun, the centre and soul of our system, --the lamp that lights it, --the fire
that heats it,--the magnet that guides and controls it; --the fountain of
colour, which gives its azure to the sky, its verdure to the fields, its
rainbow-hues to the gay world of flowers, and the purple light of love to the
cheek of youth and beauty.”
The second quote which is a little more
beautiful is by the American clergy Henry Ward Beecher (1818-1887). It reads as
follows:
“The sun does not shine for a few
trees and flowers, but for the wide world’s joy.—So God sits, effulgent, in
heaven, not for a favoured fiew, but for the universe of life, and there is no
creature so poor or low that he may not look up with childlike confidence, and
say, “My father ! thou art mine.”
