A BUNCH OF THOUGHTS
- Thoughts, ideas and images that dwell in our
minds become a part of us notwithstanding the fact that they spring from a
country or place we do not belong to or have not even visited.
- According to the Greek philosopher Plato (C.427-347
B.C) thinking is the talking of the soul.
- Some synonyms of thought are: ideas, notions,
beliefs, concepts, contemplations, impressions, reflections, opinions,
views, considerations, presumptions, assumptions, perspectives, and attitudes.
- Good things come to those who wait.
- You have a name for everything, but a name does
not give knowledge.
- A spoonful of tar spoils a barrel of honey.
- A whole is that which has a beginning, a middle and an end.
- The hole is more than the sum of the parts.
- A quotation
is one man’s wit and all men’s wisdom.
- God has a
centre but no circumference.
- The wounds
of love don’t need a doctor’s balm.
- A fighter
fights alone.
- Mercy! Thy name is God.
- All good
thoughts come from the heart.
- Learning
without thought is labour lost.
- Choose a
writer as you choose a friend.
- Opinions
alter; characters do not change.
- The
American poet and critic James Russell Lowell (1819-1891) said: Children are God’s apostles, sent
forth, day by day, to preach of love, and hope and peace.
- Every
delay is hateful, but it brings wisdom.
- Man
is a reasoning rather than a reasonable animal.
