          WIT AND WISDOM

            Given below  are some short sentences packed with wit and wisdom.

            According to lexical definition wit is quick, clever humour and sharp skill, while wisdom is deep insight, sound judgment, and long-term understanding gained through life experience.

            Common antonyms of wit are : stupidity foolishness, and dullness. And of wisdom : foolishness, stupidity, folly, ignorance, and imprudence.

            EXAMPLES:

1.     Where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise.

2.     Old age plants more wrinkles in the mind than in the face.

3.     We must beat the iron while it is hot: but we may polish it at leisure.

4.     An honest man is the noblest work of God.

5.     We live in our desires rather than in our achievements.

6.     Character is what you are in the dark.

7.     There is no brotherhood of man without the fatherhood of God.

8.     Beard was never the true standard of brains.

9.     Borrowing is not much better than begging.
